Remembering Tom

Through the way he lived and led.

Thomas "Tom" Horan was a first-generation American and Coda born in Cleveland, Ohio. Tom was a devoted husband and a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Tom enjoyed his academic, professional, and personal endeavors. Throughout these endeavors, Tom often found himself in leadership roles because of his ability to listen to and empathize with others - especially those who are differently abled. Tom eagerly engaged with his community and those within it, aspiring always to find commonality, not difference, between himself and others. Tom never met a stranger; he only encountered future friends.

In 2023, at the age of 27, Tom was diagnosed with tongue cancer. In 2024, Tom lost his battle. Tom was truly a man of word and deed, an ambassador to the best parts of humanity. We hold this event in his honor. He is eternally loved and missed.
